NIMA's Strategic Research Project 2011-2013 has been positively evaluated by FCT's evaluating committee with final Grade A: "The predicted scientific targets were fully attained. The results suggest great scientific quality, namely with respect to publications in refereed international journals. The project has contributed to the training of young researchers and to the international projection of the research team."

Este encontro teve o intuito de reunir investigadores da América do Sul, Portugal e Espanha, dedicados às temáticas do Ambiente e da Sustentabilidade, possibilitando a troca de experiências a partir de diferentes perspetivas inerentes às diferentes formações de base dos participantes: biologia, psicologia; educação; gestão, geologia; economia e contabilidade.

2014 FCT Investigator Programme
The FCT Investigator Programme aims to support the recruitment of outstanding researchers into Portuguese R&D center
The programme is open to all researchers holding a PhD degree, of any nationality, and targets scientists with exceptional track-records and clear potential to develop innovative research. The grants provide a competitive salary, for up to five years
There are three types of FCT investigator grants:

1) Starting Grant ? aimed at researchers with more than 3 years and less than 8 years post-PhD experience at the time of application. Previous experience of scientific independence is not required;
2) Development Grant ? aimed at researchers with a curriculum of exceptional merit and experience as an independent researcher;
3) Consolidation Grant ? aimed at researchers with experience as an independent researcher, with a curriculum of exceptional merit and evidence of scientific leadership in a specific area of knowledge.
NIMA is willing to support applications to the 2014 FCT Researcher Programme within the fields of
- Experimental Economics
- Health Economics
- Environmental Economics
- Labour Economics
- Applied Microeconomics & Microeconometrics
